The procedure is only half of the result. How you look after yourself in the weeks that follow decides how well you heal and how good the outcome looks. These are the seven habits we ask every client to keep.

1. Follow your doctor's instructions

Always follow the post-surgery guidance given by your surgeon, including prescribed medication and wound care routines. Each instruction is there for a reason specific to your procedure.

2. Rest and recovery

Give your body enough time to heal. Avoid strenuous activity, heavy lifting, or unnecessary movement until your doctor has cleared you.

3. Keep the area clean and sterile

Keep the surgical area clean and protected. Do not expose wounds to dust, dirty water, or unsterile environments.

4. Attend every scheduled check-up

Come to all follow-up appointments. Regular check-ups let the doctor confirm proper healing and catch any issue early, when it is easiest to correct.

5. Nutrition and hydration

Support recovery with a balanced diet and enough water. Avoid alcohol and smoking for as long as your doctor advises; both slow healing.

6. Protect the skin from sun and heat

Limit sun exposure and stay away from saunas or other high-heat environments. Healing skin is sensitive, and heat can affect swelling and scarring.

7. Contact the clinic immediately if needed

Reach out right away if you experience unusual pain, swelling, bleeding, or anything else unexpected. Early contact is always better than waiting.

Frequently asked questions

How long does recovery take after plastic surgery?

It depends on the procedure. Minor treatments settle within days; larger surgery can take several weeks before you are cleared for normal activity. Your surgeon gives you a timeline at the consultation.

When can I exercise again?

Only once your doctor has cleared you. Light walking is usually encouraged early to help circulation; strenuous exercise and heavy lifting wait until the surgical area has healed.

What counts as a warning sign?

Pain that gets worse instead of better, spreading redness, fever, unusual discharge, or bleeding. Call the clinic as soon as any of these appears.
